Frequently asked questions
How Overdrive Automations works, in plain terms.
The company
What does Overdrive Automations do?
Overdrive Automations builds custom business tools, dashboards, automations, and integrations for small and mid-sized companies. The work starts with a free audit that puts a dollar figure on where time and money are leaking, then fixes the biggest leak at a fixed price.
Is Overdrive Automations the same company as Enter Overdrive?
No. Overdrive Automations is a Florida company operating as Overdrive Software LLC, founded by Grant Feltz. Enter Overdrive is a separate business in Vancouver, British Columbia, operating as Overdrive Consulting Inc. The two are unrelated, with no shared ownership, staff, or work. Both happen to use the word Overdrive.
Where is Overdrive Automations based?
Florida, in the United States. Work is delivered remotely for clients across the country.
Pricing and terms
How much does it cost?
Every build is fixed price, agreed up front and paid in milestones. There is no hourly billing. The price is anchored to the dollars the fix saves, which the audit quantifies first, so the number is tied to a figure the client already cares about rather than to hours worked.
Is the audit really free?
Yes, for referred and qualified businesses. It runs one to two weeks and ends with a written findings document that quantifies each leak in dollars, plus a fixed-price proposal to fix the biggest one. There is no obligation to buy the build.
How long does a build take?
Days to weeks for most builds, not months. Speed is the main reason clients choose Overdrive over a traditional agency. Each proposal states the honest timeline for that specific build.
Who owns the software once it is built?
The client does, entirely. Every line of what gets built belongs to them. There is no vendor lock-in, no hostage data, and no per-seat licensing on their own tools.
What is the retainer for?
The build stops a leak. The retainer keeps it stopped and finds the next one. It covers monitoring, scoped monthly improvements, and a one-page dollars-saved report each month. It is capped, optional, and priced on what is consumed.
The work
What kinds of tools get built?
Custom internal tools, workflow and business process automation, systems integration, operations dashboards and reporting, lead capture and follow-up systems, client portals, and custom web applications. The services page breaks each one down.
What industries do you work with?
Recent builds span marine services, engineering, e-commerce, wellness, and professional services. The common thread is a company losing measurable time or money to a manual process, not a particular industry.
Do you replace our existing software?
Usually not. Most engagements connect and extend what is already in place rather than ripping it out. Replacement only happens when the existing tool is the actual source of the leak.
Do we need a technical person on our team?
No. Builds are handed over with training and documentation, and are designed to be run by the people who already do the work rather than by an engineer.
